Medical Protocols For Game Ready

The following protocols have been utilized by Dr Millett, a leading Orthopedic Surgeon at Vail Valley Medical Center, CO, USA, and are shared with his permission.

ANTERIOR CRUCIATE LIGAMENT (ACL) REPAIR

Post-Operative Treatment Protocol
Provided By: Dr Millett, The Steadman Clinic, Vail, CO USA

Game Ready Cold Therapy is started after surgery: Immediately Game Ready Compression Therapy is started after surgery: 24 Hours

Compression Settings:
First 24 hours post-op: NO Compression
After 48 hours post-op: LOW Compression
After 72 hours post-op: As tolerated or desired
4th day and throughout the remainder of the post-op recovery period: As tolerated or desired

Cold Temperature Settings:
The temperature dial should be set to the coldest level the patient can tolerate

Treatment Time:
30 minutes on/30 minutes off per treatment

Frequency:
Once every 4 hours minimum; more frequently as tolerated

ROTATOR CUFF REPAIR – Post-Operative Treatment Protocol Provided By: Dr Millett, The Steadman Clinic, Vail, CO USA

Game Ready Cold Therapy is started after surgery: Immediately Game Ready Compression Therapy is started after surgery: 24 Hours

Compression Settings:
First 24 hours post-op: NO Compression
After 48 hours post-op: LOW Compression
After 72 hours post-op: As tolerated or desired
4th day and throughout the remainder of the post-op recovery period: As tolerated or desired

Caution: The Game Ready shoulder wrap should not be used on the HIGH compression setting

Cold should be set to the coldest level the patient can tolerate

Treatment Time:
30 minutes on/30 minutes off per treatment

Frequency:
Once every 4 hours minimum; more frequently as tolerated

TOTAL KNEE REPLACEMENT – Post-Operative Treatment Protocol Provided By: Dr Millett, The Steadman Clinic, Vail, CO USA

Game Ready Cold Therapy is started after surgery: Immediately
Game Ready Compression Therapy is started after surgery: 24 Hours IF TOLERATED otherwise 48 hours

Compression Settings:
First 24 hours post-op: NO Compression
After 48 hours post-op: LOW or NO Compression
After 72 hours post-op: As tolerated or desired
4th day and throughout the remainder of the post-op recovery period: As tolerated or desired

Cold Temperature Settings:
